Three Stroke Ruff Played in Triplet Form
Applied to Jazz
The previous THREE STROKE RUFF fills played in 3/4 time will now be
superimposed over two bars of 4/4 time in the following example. This
method of phrasing is commonly used in Jazz, and is referred to as
an "Over-the-Bar-Line Feel."

Applying Variation #1 as Fills for the Two Bar Phrase in 4/4 Time
Note: All tied eighth notes should be played with a slight splash
on the ride cymbal and reinforced with the bass drum.
